Verordening inzake ecologisch ontwerp voor duurzame producten van de Europese Commissie:

Op 30 maart 2022 heeft de Europese Commissie een voorstel ingediend voor de Eco-design for Sustainable Products Regulation. Dit voorstel sluit aan bij de Green Deal van de EU en heeft tot doel ecologisch duurzame en circulaire producten te bevorderen.
Digitale productpaspoorten (DPP’s):
- Definitie: DPP’s zijn digitale records met uitgebreide informatie over de levenscyclus van een product, met betrekking tot aspecten als product-ID’s, materiaalsamenstelling, prestaties en milieu- en sociale gegevens.
- Doel: Voorgesteld als een veilige en gestandaardiseerde methode voor het delen van productinformatie in de hele waardeketen.
- Toegang: Informatie in DPP’s is toegankelijk via fysieke identificatiemiddelen zoals QR-codes of RFID-chips op elk punt stroomopwaarts of wanneer het product op de EU-markt komt.
